Who We Are

Mission Statement: To inspire moments of optimism and empower young adults to critically think about life choices.

Our journey began with a deep-rooted belief in the transformative power of traditional and non-traditional education pathways for underserved/underrepresented young adults (ages, 17-25).

As educators ourselves, we consistently witness the impact of personalized guidance on young adults’ lives. This inspired us to establish Keep Striving and create a platform to connect with secondary/post secondary education administrators and organizations who are intentional about providing services and programs for this vulnerable demographic.

Meet Our Founder

Dr. Latishua E. Lewis

Dr. Latishua E. Lewis serves as the visionary for Keep Striving.

Coming from humble beginnings in St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Lewis realized at an early age the hard work and dedication needed to persevere and reach your DREAMS. Being a first-generation college student presented some unforeseen challenges for Dr. Lewis. Her firsthand knowledge of the disparities in resources for first-generation/low-income college students prompted her passion to share vital information with students, parents, faculty, and staff. She has devoted her life to leading by example through knowledge sharing and mentorship.

As a seasoned professional with over 20 years of higher education experience, Dr. Lewis has served in academic and student affairs. Her unwavering commitment to student success has been proven by the strategic initiatives she has led.

Her most noteworthy contributions have been in the areas of mentoring, program development/implementation, job readiness, pre-collegiate programs (including dual enrollment), first generation college students, financial literacy and goal setting. Maintaining relationships with educational institutions and organizations has allowed her to widen outreach efforts.

Dr. Lewis earned her Bachelors in Public Relations, Masters in Human Resources Management/Development and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies with an emphasis in Higher Education. She appreciates the solitude of early morning walks and catching a sunrise or sunset as frequent as possible.
